科莫是意大利北部阿爾卑斯山南麓的一個(gè)城市。在科莫湖西南端，米蘭以北40公里處。人口84,834（2013）。絲綢工業(yè)歷史悠久（始于1510年），負(fù)有世界盛名，另有電器、銀器與搪瓷等工業(yè)。是通向瑞士的鐵路交點(diǎn)與旅游中心。有建于1215年的市政廳、十四世紀(jì)的大理石教堂等哥特式與文藝復(fù)興時(shí)期建筑、國立絲綢學(xué)院與絲綢研究所。

    科莫市是科莫省的省會(huì)，有2000多年的歷史，是湖區(qū)最大的城市。沿湖周圍，曲折險(xiǎn)峻的湖畔公路，將湖邊的許多小鎮(zhèn)連接起來。科莫市和科莫湖數(shù)百年來一直吸引大量游客，其中很多人都很富裕，這從城市中集中的大量別墅和莊園可以看出，這些豪華的建筑背靠山林分布在湖周圍，有人曾說過，擁有一扇能看見科莫湖的窗戶是最幸運(yùn)的事情，湖光山色之美好像電影里的場景，事實(shí)上包括《星球大戰(zhàn)II》在內(nèi)的很多影片就是在科莫拍攝外景的。貴族們喜歡科莫的傳統(tǒng)始于羅馬時(shí)代。

Como is located in the northern Italian Alps, at the southern tip Como Kosei, 40 km north of Milan. Population is 84,834 (2013). Silk industry has a long history since 1510, while other appliances, silver and enamel industries are also world acknowledged. It is leading to Swiss railway intersection and tourist center. There are Town Hall built in 1215, the fourteenth century marble church Gothic architecture, the National Institute of Silk and Silk Research Institute.

 Como city is the capital of the province of Como with 2000 years of history, and is the largest city in the Lake District. Around the lake, steep winding lakeside roads connect many small towns of the lake.
